TRADEMARK REGISTRATION

Trademark Registration in Bangladesh starts with optional search for possible matches with other applications or approved marks. Requirements for filing:

1. Valid identification of the applicant. In case of a body corporate/company, incorporation certificate will be required.

2. Whether applicant is manufacturers/merchants/provider of services.

3. Goods or Services for which the mark is to be registered.

4. Whether the mark is:- Being used in Bangladesh by the proprietors, proposed to be used in Bangladesh by the proprietors, Proposed to be used in Bangladesh by a body corporate to be constituted, Proposed to be used in Bangladesh by a registered user (in which case an application for registration of registered user must be filed simultaneously).

5. Status of Applicant, whether the applicant is manufacturer, merchant, service provider etc.

6. Authorization in TM 10 form enabling us to represent client.

DESIGN REGISTRATION

Registered design is a shape, configuration, pattern or ornament or composition of lines or colour or combination thereof applied to any article whether two dimensional or three dimensional protected under the law. Any person or company claiming to be the inventor/owner of a new or an original industrial design may apply to the Registrar of the Department of Patent, design, and Trademarks for  registration.

Requirements for filing:

1. Valid identification of the applicant. In case of a body corporate/company, incorporation certificate will be required.

COPYRIGHT REGISTRATION

Copyright refers to ones right to reproduction in the form of words, picture, sounds, letters, written form or in the form of sound recordings, cinematograph film, graphic picture or in the material or non-material form, digital code (fixed or moving) or whether in two or three or surrealistic dimensions.
